enovidTM is a novel spray for protection against viruses, which adheres to and is proved to eliminate up to 99% of them within 2 minutes.
The spray is based on nitric oxide, and is intended for use as a mechanical and chemical barrier that protects against the accumulation of viruses in the nasal cavity, which is the “gateway” to the body for viruses that attack the airways.
The results of a trial held on COVID-19 patients in the United Kingdom showed that the enovidTM spray reduced the concentration of the virus in patients’ bodies by 95% in 24 hours and 99% in 72 hours.
The spray was developed in Canada by Dr. Gili Regev, CEO of the biotech company SaNOtize. Israel’s Ministry of Health granted authorization for it (medical device approval) in January 2021. enovidTM is made in Israel, is marketed and distributed by Tradis-Gat, and is available off-the-counter at pharmacies.
How does the spray work?
enovidTM consists of a vial containing two adjacent containers that release a measured quantity of substances that mix in the nasal cavity to form the protection against viruses. The substance that reaches the nasal cavity is NO – a naturally occurring nanomolecule that has been proved to be able to kill microbes and viruses.
The spray is recommended for use before or after contact with or exposure to viruses and being present in a high-risk environment (public transport, flights, proximity to a patient or quarantined person, mass events, etc.). enovidTM may be used two to three times a day, and following suspicion of exposure to viruses – up to five times a day.
The spray is intended, among other things, to help people who have been exposed during the day to many people who may be carrying viruses – businesspeople, people flying abroad or on a work trip, service people whose work involves receiving members of the public, relatives of COVID-19 patients, and others. enovidTM provides a significant layer of protection in the fight against COVID-19 by killing viruses and reducing the viral load in the body.
Independent test laboratories have confirmed that enovidTM has been able to suppress the activity of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the body within 2 minutes, and has significantly reduced influenza virus infection in hamsters. External laboratory tests have confirmed the treatment as suppressing influenza virus and other viruses that attack the airways, including RSV and rhinovirus.
